Arranging trade shows to allow the customers to know about different products and boost their sales has been there for a long time. However, earlier people used to give emphasis more on the products than on the booths. But, later, they realized that better the infrastructure, larger, airier and more attractive booths enhance the sales. The organizers after much deliberation came to the following conclusion:
Better infrastructure, good and attractive ambience bring larger crowds which in turn translates into better sales. Many people step into the booths just out of curiosity and then stay back without making an enquiry or purchase.
Cleverly designed trade show exhibits offer better viewing and hence better sales.
That was the opinion the organizers had. Let us now look at it from the point of view of the participating companies. Good trade show exhibits may attract more viewers, but they are not cheap; it even rises a very important question: will it actually be profitable for them?
If you too have the same doubts, let me assure you, many companies take part in these trade shows every year not only in their own city but elsewhere too. If they are not getting any advantages out of these, why do they take troubles. Still you are not convinced, you can attend one on experimental basis. Don't buy the exhibits; simply look for trade show booth rental companies that provide all types of booths and exhibits on hire.
In fact, some companies, which take part in such shows prefer going for rental booths to outright purchase. Buying the products may turn out to be cheaper in the end, but you need proper storage space, transportation and work force for installations and dismantling. Moreover, at times you may have to set up a different type of booth from the one you actually have; rental gives the option to choose according to your need. Choice is yours.
What many companies, who set up stalls in different trade shows do is, buy some basic staff and hire the rest. In deed, some trade show booth rentals hire out individual objects, while others prefer to work on turnkey basis. Those working on the later basis cost more, but they can obviously do a better job because they have the expertise, which you lack. That is why if you have the financial capability, you can offer them the job on turnkey basis and observe how thy work. Later on you can try on your on, but think twice before you do that.
Today in every field we see experts taking up jobs from the non-professionals and producing better output. Even among these skilled and proficient people we have some focusing only on certain aspects. Naturally the final result will be far better if we leave the entire work to them; but that will cost more. Therefore, before you actually start searching for the exhibit rentals consider your financial capabilities as well as your goal.
First you decide what should be displayed in your booth; also decide the size of the booth you want. Most of all, decide how much you can really afford to spend on trade shows and exhibits without feeling the pinch. A properly organized trade show is the best sales instrument you can have; it works better than newspaper or TV advertisements. However, if you choose the trade show correctly, you can allow your potential customer to attract towards your show.
Choose the tradeshow carefully. That means, your trade show must be compatible to your targeted audience. If you organize a trade show with a specific industry in mind and you don't belong to that, it is a futile exercise. However, sometimes a small presence in such an event may draw the customers attention more. For example, people coming to sample cars may find your fitness products interesting or your insurance products useful. Some may advise you to avoid new trade show, but if they are organized in a locale suitable for your target customers, there is no reason why you should do that. In short, treat each case individually and that is the only rule you should follow.
